Kiesha did not always make her academics a priority. It was tough for her to focus on schoolwork when other areas of her life were in turmoil. Kiesha has been in foster care for the past 2.5 years, and a lot has happened in that time. Despite the extremely difficult situations she has faced, Kiesha made the decision to put her best foot forward, set goals, and strive to do her best. This school year she tested into Walnut Hills High School, a top 100 public college-preparatory high school in Cincinnati. This is a big achievement. Kiesha continues to make her academics a priority. Having her own personal laptop would really help Kiesha keep up with her school work, research, and homework assignments.
Kiesha is 19 years old and lives in OH
Kiesha is fun loving and eager to help others. She has spent the last 2.5 years in foster care , separated from all of her siblings. She certainly has had her share of obstacles and ups and downs. Kiesha recently had a final visit with her biological parents, whose rights have been terminated. She occassionally gets to see her sisters who are placed in separate foster homes., but she misses them daily. In the beginning of her placement, Kiesha struggled in different areas, including school where did not always apply herself. However, Kiesha has worked very hard to make improvements and make school a priority. She is currently excelling in her academics. Additionally, despite everything she has faced, she keeps a smile on her face, a positive attitude, and always wants to make others feel important.
