Cheyenne is a foster youth who is a special education student in the 9th grade. This year her special education teacher is using a program called, "Trans math." This program is only available to students online, and through a computer. Cheyenne would benefit from extra time to use this program at home, but, the group home she resides at doesn't allow any of the children computer assess. According to her teacher, '”Cheyenne is doing really well with the trans math program.” Cheyenne currently uses a Chromebook at school to learn the math curriculum. Cheyenne could benefit from increased instruction in learning math concepts, but a limited financial budget inhibits one being purchased for her. This wish for Cheyenne is to purchase a Chromebook for academic use in her home environment. This wish would greatly benefit Cheyenne increasing her chances of entering a higher level of math instruction in the future.
