Derek loves basketball. And when we say loves... we mean it. He loves playing outside and sports help him work out his energy. The structure and socializing help manage his behavioral disorder. When it's too cold to be on the court, Derek turns to video games. Receiving NBA 2K18 would be a holiday with come true for Derek!
Derek is 18 years old and lives in NJ
Derek is a loving young man who has struggled with an unstable home life. Derek, along with his younger brother and mom, moved into transitional housing because of family violence. Derek is very protective of his mom and is always happy to include his little brother Dillon in games. He has struggled in school and was recently diagnosed with a behavioral disorder. Derek has also been dealing with serious health issues this past year. With supports and a new diet, he is working hard to turn things around for himself.

"Megan, Thank you so so much for my NBA 2K18 game! Video games are pretty much my favorite thing to do when I'm not in school or playing sports. My mom got us a house to live in and my little brother and I have our very own room! It's still too cold to play outside in the backyard though. Playing NBA is the perfect game for us to play.
