Courtney was accepted into the 2018 Foster Youth Internship Program in Washington, D.C. This is a highly esteemed, life-changing youth empowerment program for young adults who have spent their formative years in foster care, offering them the opportunity to intern in a Congressional office for the summer. CCAI provides full service, wrap-around care throughout the internship. However, Courtney will need the essential housing supplies such as bedding, toiletries, a dining set, cooking supplies, and Tupperware to name a few.
Courtney is 39 years old and lives in TX
Courtney was in the foster care system in the state of Texas and is a graduated student of Texas State University - San Marcos, where she earned her degree in Social Work with a focus in Policy and Positive Youth Development. Her prior experience with YouthBuild Austin at American Youthworks allowed for an interdisciplinary experience that will open many doors in the Foster Youth Internship (FYI) Program.
