Housing supplies for Amber to attend the Foster Youth Internship Program in Washington, D.C.

Posted Mar 15, 2018
Amber was accepted into the 2018 Foster Youth Internship Program in Washington, D.C. This is a highly esteemed, life-changing youth empowerment program for young adults who have spent their formative years in foster care, offering them the opportunity to intern in a Congressional office for the summer. CCAI provides full service, wrap-around care throughout the internship. However, Amber will need the essential housing supplies such as bedding, toiletries, a dining set, cooking supplies, and Tupperware to name a few.

Amber is 30 years old and lives in WA

Amber was in the foster care system in the state of Washington and is a graduate student at the University of Washington - Seattle, where she is pursuing her masters in Social Work with a focus in Child Welfare, Psychology, Sociology, Human Development, Administration and Policy, Non-Profit Management, and Mental Health. Her prior experience with Hand in Hand as a Foster Homes Case Manager provided her with vast opportunities in the current foster care system which will be a crucial tool in the Foster Youth Internship (FYI) Program.
