Jamie is a foster youth who has been greatly benefiting from equine therapy. When I first met Jamie she was attending equine therapy at Healing Pastures. The ranch owner/founder saw the visible and amazing difference in Jamie when around the gentle horses. J has said "they [the horses] make me feel calm. They make me feel happy when I'm here." Jamie is going through a really tough time as she just moved to a new foster home. She finds peace and calm at the horse ranch. The horse care and riding skills helps Jamie find confidence, understanding and trust in herself as she works with these wonderful horses. There's a great ranch near her new foster home that has very sweet and gentle horses for equine therapy. I would love to bring her for weekly lessons starting as soon as possible.
