Angela recently made a huge decision to better her life. She bought her first car! Angela has worked extremely hard the past couple of years. She is entering her fourth year of medical school which means she will constantly be on the go with clinicals and work. Angela could use a little bit of help with getting some gas to be able to get back and forth to class, clinicals, work, and errands, especially when it starts to get stressful!
Angela is 26 years old and lives in NC
Angela has recently graduated from Winston Salem State University. She wants to become a Hematologist, but right now will be working as a Med Tech at a hospital. She starts in late August 2019, and is moving to the city where she will be working. She is excited about this new period of her life. She has been in foster care since she was 16. She and her sister are fairly close and help to support each other. Her sister has also been working on her schooling. Her sister has gotten married and had her first child in the last year or so, and has limited resources to help Angela. They both came to the US from Ghana with their father. Angela strives to be a hematologist so she can help those who, like her, have sickle cell anemia.
