Angela has recently graduated from Winston Salem State University. She wants to become a Hematologist, but right now will be working as a Med Tech at a hospital. She starts in late August 2019, and is moving to the city where she will be working. She is excited about this new period of her life. She has been in foster care since she was 16. She and her sister are fairly close and help to support each other. Her sister has also been working on her schooling. Her sister has gotten married and had her first child in the last year or so, and has limited resources to help Angela. They both came to the US from Ghana with their father. Angela strives to be a hematologist so she can help those who, like her, have sickle cell anemia.
