Lauren is working incredibly hard to pursue her dream of earning her PhD, and is doing all of this on her own, including paying for her education. Unfortunately, she has become accustomed to skipping meals in order to pay for her research. This wish will give her the security of knowing that she will have food so she can focus on her studies.
Lauren is 34 years old and lives in CA
Lauren aged out of foster care in California and, unfortunately, found herself homeless soon thereafter. However, through all of the setbacks, she has persevered; setting and meeting goal after goal that she created for herself. She now has set perhaps the most aspirational goal yet - to become the first former foster youth who a PhD in her field!
