Sterling is currently placed in his first foster home with his brother due to no fault of his own. Sterling's mother passed away earlier this year and his father was recently incarcerated. Sterling and his siblings were not cared for properly. Sterling has 5 siblings, but is only placed with one of them. Sterling is currently having a hard time adjusting to being in foster care. Sterling loved sports, especially basketball. Sterling has been using basketball as a way to cope with the severe neglect that he endured.

Sterling wants to purchase a new outfit to wear to the Spring Dance at school. It would be so great if he had an outfit that was not a hand me down to actually wear. He is a great dancer and can't wait for the event.
