Blake is anxious about his sleepaway summer camp experience because he recently changed placements and feels underprepared without many belongings to pack. He is excited to see his sister at the program, which reunites siblings who are separated while in foster care. To help Blake feel at home and fall asleep, he is asking for a pillow, a portable fan, a flashlight, toiletries, twin sheets, and a twin comforter (or a sleeping bag).

Blake is a supportive brother to a sibling he was placed in a separate foster home from. He talks about his sibling throughout the year but due to geographic proximity he isn't able to see her often.

We'll be talking about what every day will look like, and will also review a packing list. If he doesn't own something on the list, our staff will quietly note color preferences, sizing, etc. and purchase the missing items (a sleeping bag, a bathing suit, etc) and have them waiting for him on his bunk bed when he arrives.
