Dylan recently entered foster care after severe neglect allegations from his biological family. When Dylan came into foster care, he was not toilet trained, had no dental care and was experiencing severe emotional needs from chronic neglect. Everyone around him rallied to get him all of the support and resources that he would need to feel stable in his new placement. At this time, his dental care needs are extensive: he has already had teeth pulled, but he needs caps on all the remaining teeth. Unfortunately insurance will only pay for metal caps, and everyone agrees that having Dylan enter first grade with a mouth full of metal cap teeth will only heighten his anxiety/social interactions with his peers. He struggles with self esteem and confidence so having natural veneer caps will increase his self imagine and therefore carry over to his personal relationships.
