Latycia entered care earlier this summer with her brother and sister. Because she is part of a sibling group that includes an older sister with medical and emotional needs, it was very difficult to find a home appropriate for her. A caregiver stepped forward to care for Latycia and her siblings and even postponed a family vacation in order to make the placement happen. Now the family would like to resume their plans for a weekend at Universal, and they want to take Latycia and her siblings with them. We are asking for assistance for this family so that the children are not left behind and so they can forget their trauma for a little while and experience the fun and magic of an Orlando theme park.
Latycia is 16 years old and lives in FL
Latycia is a passionate champion of her older sister, who has cerebral palsy and several learning and developmental delays. Although she is the middle child, she has taken over the traditional role of "oldest" child and is very responsible. She mothers both her older sister and little brother, and she takes her responsibility very seriously. She has a lot of dreams of the future, which include going to college. She may even have a career in social work ahead of her!
