Ricardo is a young man transferring to UCR who supports himself with no contact with his family at all. He is eager to continue his higher education and has set himself up for a bright future. He has managed to get by with the support of friends who have become family but they are unable to help him financially. It is still too early to tell what Ricardo would like to do after graduation.

Ricardo is an incoming transfer student from a community college. He has worked incredibly hard to be able to transfer to a university. After college Ricardo would like to attend grad school to pursue a career as a mental health professional. Ricardo will be moving into a on-campus apartment. He would like nothing more than for some support to help make his campus apartment a home.
