Nicole is a hard working young adult with an infectious laugh. She has recently "aged out" of the State's foster care system, due to her age. During her young life Nicole has been adopted twice, once from the hospital at birth, but unfortunately had both adoptions end. Nicole wanted nothing more than to find out who her birth family was for a sense of belonging and identity. Nicole was able to obtain her original birth certificate and ultimately connect with her birth family, right before turning 21. Nicole has continued to be in touch with her siblings and extended family members.

Nicole has been struggling financially for a few months, before reaching out for help, after having her hours cut at her job. She is paying her rent and using money to pay for the bus. Unfortunately she has been cutting back on food. She has lost 16 pounds in 3 months. She has been looking for another part time job but the hours usually conflict and has not had luck finding another full time job. She is trying her hardest to utilize her community out reach programs, but would love to have a gift card to purchase some groceries that will help her get through the next couple of months.
