Starting a new school is scary for anyone, especially for a newly removed foster child who's entire life has previously been scary. They want to make a statement and make some friends when they get to school. They want to run around to learn and play like all the other children. Help a foster child receive a new pair of sneakers for school, and help guarantee they have the best year yet.
K'Star is 5 years old and lives in TX
Foster kids are kids, period. And they just want to have the same freedom and joy as their peers. Each year thousands of kids enter foster care in our state, separated from their friends, families, neighborhoods and most of what is familiar to them. It can be difficult, but One Simple Wish strives to make the transition a little easier so kids can enjoy childhood and make happy memories!
