Marie loves watching Discovery Channel and says it helps her learn what school cannot teach her. Her favorite shows are Man vs. Wild, Mythbusters, How It's Made, and Cash Cab. Marie has worked hard to achieve all of her goals and would like to have a Smart TV in her room to help her learn more from shows like these. This gift will allow Marie to continue learning outside of traditional education and inspire her to explore more of the world.
Marie is 18 years old and lives in CA
Marie is extremely intelligent, sweet, kind and loves to learn! She currently has a 3.6 GPA and is striving for a 4.0 this school year. Marie learns a lot by watching Discovery Channel and says that it teaches her what school does not. Marie was placed earlier this year and has a great amount of success with her foster family. They encourage her to learn and explore whenever she can. Marie loves to take walks and explore the world around her. She specifically loves to look for insects, so she can learn more about how they play a part in the food chain and on a larger scale of things. Marie also loves to do experiments like the Mythbuster's do. She is most alive when she is learning.
