Vanessa is an amazing student and takes school very seriously. Focusing her attention on school has been a positive coping mechanism that has allowed Vanessa to get through the difficulties of being removed from her family. Vanessa is a high school senior and will be graduating early, December 2019. She will be starting her first year of college in February 2020 and she is already preparing to make sure she has a super successful first year! Vanessa is currently working after school and on the weekends to earn enough money to be able to purchase necessities for college, but having support with a laptop will help her tremendously!
Vanessa is 21 years old and lives in CA
Vanessa is an amazing young woman. She has experienced a great deal of trauma in her life but through it all she remains happy and positive. Vanessa has an amazing ability to see the bright side of any circumstances. When asked how she is able to go through life so positively despite her trauma her response was "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.". Needless to say Forest Gump is her favorite film and has had an amazing impact on her ability to stay positive even when faced with adversity.
