Dasia is friendly and often smiling. She enjoys writing and drawing. Dasia has spent most of her life in foster care, after her adoption ended. She was homeless for the last few months after bouncing from couch to couch. Dasia was ultimately able to secure her own apartment in August and is so excited to finally have a place to lay her head, where she knows she won't be moving and is safe. She is even more excited to return to school, knowing she will have the same place to travel to school from, return to every night, and a place to do her school work.

Dasia has moved from place to place usually staying on friend's couches until she was able to move into her own apartment. She is now working overnight shifts while going to school part time during the day. Dasia recently shared that she lost some of her clothing by moving and does not feel good about how she looks when going to work or school. She is often embarrassed about how her peers perceive her. She does not have extra money to buy clothes or undergarments since the majority of her money goes towards rent, bills, and food. Clothing would be a luxury item for her. One that she does not have the ability to pay for at this time.
