Dameon has chronic heart issues and has to regularly attend doctor appointments to ensure his health. The transportation assistance offered through his insurance is not always reliable or sometimes someone will offer a ride so he will not set up the transportation assistance, and that arrangement will fall through. This causes him to miss appointments with doctors that have long wait times, and recently he has even ended up in the ER because he was not able to make it to his regularly scheduled doctor's appointment. This Uber gift card will help him with a back up plan during times when his arrangements fall through so that he can still make his scheduled appointments.

Dameon is an incredible young man constantly overcoming the odds. Since his time in foster care, he has become a fierce advocate for the foster care community and those who will experience the system after him. He has made a huge contribution and impact on legislation, policy, and services for current and former foster youth in Ohio and nationwide.
