Maria is working hard to care for her children and finish high school. She is currently attending school full time and is working on getting her driver’s permit. Maria is a strong, determined, amazing young lady who is making great progress in her current placement. She is overcoming serious issues relating to her removal from her home that were out of her control. She misses her Mother and siblings who live about 3 hours away. She makes every effort to keep her two children connected to her family through visits and face time since family is so important in her culture and she wants her children to be able to maintain those connections. She’s an amazing Mom to her two young children.

Maria is a great young lady with two children. Maria recently completed her 1st semester of college which has been a huge goal of hers! Maria and her children are doing well in their current placement and because she is doing so well, she has been offered the opportunity to move into an Independent Living Program within the next few weeks. Maria and her children need a few household items and Maria has been saving money and buying essentials but she does not have enough money for a television. This would mean the world to her!
