In February of 2020, April found herself homeless. As a former foster youth she worked tirelessly to secure a safe place to live. Within a month, she had found a place that would allow her to stay with minimal rent and a team that would help her budget and save, so that when she moved out she would feel ready to conquer the world on her own. Already, she has enrolled in college and found work. Her hard work and diligence in a short amount of time will serve her well, as she ventures into the arena of higher learning.

April is asking for a laptop so that she can be prepared when she begins her first semester of college. She is determined not to let this crisis get in her way of her education and goals!
