A laptop for Jayleen to stay caught up in school

Jayleen, 14 years old

Wish submitted by:

Coalition for Hispanic Family Services

Jayleen is a confident elementary school girl who loves to keep her older sister optimistic about their future. She loves spending time with her older sister and learning as much as she can from her. Her sister hopes to become a lawyer, and she is also hoping to follow her in her footsteps. She has always been a curious person, and she has shown a lot of maturity for her young age. We are extremely proud of her resilience and want to do everything we can for her and her sister to achieve their dreams.

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, Jayleen has not been able to stay connected to her classes and would benefit greatly from a laptop. She already missed critical class instruction time, and is worried about being able to catch up with her classes. Jayleen has remained positive throughout this process, but has expressed that she is worried she will get in trouble with her teachers and fall behind her class. Keeping her connected to her classes will keep her motivated to continue learning and one day achieve her goals.

"We cannot thank you enough for granting a laptop to Jayleen. Your donation will help Jayleen stay up to date with her classes. The fact that she still had not received a borrowed laptop from the DOE shows how significant your donation is to ensuring her success in school. Her foster family is so thankful for your donation, and we here as CHFS are extremely grateful for your altruism during this time of great need. We appreciate you for thinking of our children!"
