A Laptop for Sofiya to participate in remote learning

Due to COVID-19, the request for an IEP for Sofiya was denied; she was also not enrolled into Kindergarten distance learning because of her academic delays and being too old for preschool. At her recent Kindergarten evaluation for the next school year, she tested as needing intervention. This laptop will help her work independently while other youth in the home are also doing their school work. She will love having her own device to work independently and at her own pace!

Sofiya is a sweet and quiet girl. She loves her foster home where she is placed with her sisters. The girls love to make up dances and cheers to perform for anyone willing to stop and watch. Sofiya is in foster care because she was exposed to dangerous situations. She is in her second foster home but has luckily been able to be with her sisters. Sofiya was supposed to be in kindergarten, but she had never been enrolled in preschool or kindergarten and has development and speech delays.
