Belen was in foster care from the age of 14 to 18 years old. During her time in care, she had an extremely hard time adapting to an environment as she was moving almost every six months. She was in 5 different homes and 7 different school until she aged out of care and was left to fend for herself.

Belen has a few learning disabilities and with the new remote structure for school, it has been suggested she get a pair of noise cancelling headphones to help her better concentrate on her school work. Belen is determined to do well this school year despite the many many challenges that have been thrown her way.
