Foster Parent Association of WilkesShawn is a wonderful young man who, despite struggling with the lasting effects of abuse and neglect, has a bright and caring spirit. With many special needs, he requires a high level of care and attention, but he thrives when he is part of a loving family. Shawn enjoys working on fixing things and finding satisfaction in hands-on activities. He has a fondness for Chick-fil-A and loves listening to music in his downtime. Driven by his passion for helping others, Shawn aspires to become a teacher someday, eager to make a positive impact in the lives of those around him.
Shawn wishes for a pair of rugged hiking boots to explore in this Fall. Almost daily Shawn has so much anxiety he paces back and forth. To help him efforts are made to turn this pacing into walking or swinging. A new pair of hiking boots will allow him to go walking through the woods this Fall to reduce his stress. He loves looking at nature and this helps him therapeutically.
