NJ DCFS - Monmouth CountyJelani is a sweet and caring child who is the eldest of 4 siblings and always takes on the protective older brother role. Jelani belongs to the 21st Century Club at his school, where they do various STEM activities, and he loves his Karate classes. Jelani loves school and he is great at reading, writing, and math. Jelani also collects Pokémon cards and is so happy that he has a new Nintendo Switch. Jelani is now separated from his siblings and greatly enjoys his visits with them.
Jelani has had multiple placements in his life and experienced a lot of trauma. Due to being in various placements, he often feels left out of the same experiences that his peers have. Jelani would love a new Nintendo Switch game for Christmas.
