Aaliyah is a bright and bubbly child who loves to play with LOL dolls, JoJo dolls, and Barbies. Aaliyah fell ill a few years ago and lost her hearing in both ears. Since then, she has had two surgeries to help recover her hearing and uses a special ear device to hear everyday sounds. Although Aaliyah faces many challenges, she has not let them stop her from spreading her love! She receives support services from The Homes for Children Corporation, which cares for children and youth who are abused, neglected, runaway, abandoned, homeless, and at-risk, and families that are in crisis.

Aaliyah is very creative and likes to occupy her free time with arts and crafts projects. She is a very talented artist who has a great imagination and is able to envision her her masterpiece and create it. She would love to have some new supplies to create and fill her time with what she loves the most.
