Ginka and her counselor believe that an indoor hammock may help her to feel more calm when she is having a hard day. The rocking motion can be very soothing and help Ginka cope with the lasting effects of early trauma in her life. When Ginka is overwhelmed, she would love to get into her own hammock and rock back and forth to promote healthy coping and healthy brain activity.
Ginka is 22 years old and lives in VA
Ginka has entered into an independent living program after spending many years in residential homes. She is very proud that she was recently accepted to college. She is working hard to become independent and utilize healthy coping skills to deal with her struggles from growing up in a residential facility. Ginka would like to become a 3D designer, and is looking foward to beginning her design courses in college.
