April is a senior at The College of New Jersey pursuing a Bachelors in Sociology with a minor in Fine Arts. After graduation, her plan is to attend law school at Temple University and focus on child and family law. She is a proud member of the NJFC Scholars Program, which provides funding for youth who have experienced foster care and are seeking a post-secondary degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or a career/technical school. April dreams of one day of owning her own tattoo shop.

April is simply amazing. She is beating the odds and has enrolled in college to pursue her dreams of higher education. Being a full time college student is hard, and can be even harder without the support of a traditional family structure.
