Essential Supplies for a Child/Teen Entering Foster Care

Entering foster care is traumatic. For kids and teens entering care, there are so many questions and so much uncertainty around their transition into care, but thinking about essentials during their first few nights should not be one of them. Each toiletry kit will provide shampoo, conditioner, a toothbrush and toothpaste to a young person entering care.
Child/Teen Entering Care is 20 years old and lives in NJ
On any given day, there are approximately 437,500 children in foster care in the United States. Most of them are removed from their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs. One Simple Wish has partnered with Comfort Cases to ensure that each child receives some personal care items to help with the transition into foster care, as well as reminding them that the wish granting program is available to them for anything else that would bring them hope, joy and love.
