Ellie entered foster care at 15 and aged out at 21. Like many youth who emancipate from foster care, Ellie became pregnant and experienced homelessness. Now, as a mother of two and a full-time college student on her way to becoming a teacher, Ellie is in need of some essentials to ensure her and her children's needs are met as she focuses on her education. A gift card for gas would help her access critical community resources and child care.
Ellie is 29 years old and lives in CA
Ellie entered foster care at 15 before finally emancipating at 21. She is a single parent to two young boys and a full-time college student. Her dream is to one day be a teacher but she is still working to overcome the challenges of aging out. Soon after she left care, she became pregnant, dropped out of college, and ended up homeless. She is still overcoming the challenges of being in foster care and aging out with no support.
