New Decor for Jay's first apartment

Posted Jun 23, 2021
Jay recently moved into his very own apartment after periods of homelessness and living in shelters. While he has been busy setting it up, he relies on limited unemployment income. Please consider helping Jay get some decor items for his home!

Jay is 26 years old and lives in NY

Jay is a former foster youth in NYC. He was adopted but this did not turn out to be a forever home, and he found himself essentially homeless, living with a girlfriend. Jay has recently received a Section 8 voucher and we are hoping he will have a permanent home very soon. He identifies as male, but his vital documents do not match his identity, which has led to other struggles. Jay is a charismatic and charming young man, with many dreams. Stable housing is the first step to ensuring he can meet his other life goals.

"Thank you so much for your gift, but also your beautiful note! Jay was so happy to have this wish fulfilled, and he did use it to get some more fun decor type items for his home! I shared your note with him as well, and it truly meant so much to know there are people out there, who may not know him personally, but who are rooting for him nonetheless. Thank you!! "
