Tamayla is a bright young girl with aspirations of being the first in her family to go to college. She works hard to get good grades and while she doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up, she has a few things in mind. She loves helping people so maybe a nurse, or she loves animals so maybe a vet. She loves to dance and listen to music and adores her two younger siblings.

Tamayla's youngest sibling just passed away and the funeral is this week. Tamayla is the oldest child and has such guilt - which she should't - that she should have been able to prevent the death. Nothing will make Tamayla feel better or replace her sibling; however prior to this she would love going shopping with her mom at Target and looking at the clothes, make up and accessories. Her mother has taken some time off work which is unpaid so a shopping trip is out of the question. Her caseworker would like to give Tamayla a Target gift card so that when she is ready, she can try and spend a normal day picking out something nice or fun for herself.
