She aged out of foster care and has committed herself to enacting systemic change to the child welfare system. Alexis serves as a mentor to many youth, and is also a proud dog mom.
Alexis is an amazing young woman who juggles multiple jobs serving those in underserved communities, including those in foster care. She has been saving for a computer and is hoping she can purchase it for her birthday. Growing up in foster care, Alexis didn't get the chance to celebrate many milestones, including birthdays. It would be such a sweet surprise for her to be able to purchase the computer of her choice for her birthday this year.
