Julisa has worked incredibly hard to get this point in her life. She has expertly juggled single parenthood with nursing school, and has proudly graduated as an LPN. She now wants to advance her skills as a LVN nurse and become IV certified, which in turn will help her seek out better employment opportunities. Julisa has found a course that offers everything she needs, including materials. Taking this course will put Julisa on the right track to become self sufficient and a provide a better life for her and her four year old son.
Julisa is 30 years old and lives in CA
Julisa is a former foster youth who entered care at the age of sixteen. She was a high-school dropout and homeless youth who lived in chaos surrounded by violence and gang affiliation. The foster care system was her ticket out of poverty. It offered more stability and the opportunity for Julisa to further her education. She became a single mother by the age of 23. Despite the obstacles she has faced, she graduated high-school, and recently graduated from Riverside City College School of Nursing as a LVN AND passed the very rigorous NCLEX Exam. Julisa's ultimate goal is to earn her BSN and become a RN.
