Shyla entered the foster care system at a young age and spent her entire time moving in and out of homes. During this time, Shyla was also battling a couple of incurable diagnoses that have left long-term health effects. She has remained positive and determined not to let this slow her down, as she did not want to be another statistic. Shyla graduated from high school, and her hard work ethic landed her a managerial position at Sonic. More recently, thinking about her future, Shyla landed a job building solar cells that NASA will use. This is something she is very proud to be a part of. Shyla sees this as a new opportunity to build a career and look out for her future, as this is the first opportunity she's had to invest in a retirement account. Shyla is a great inspiration and hardworking woman who deserves to also enjoy the youth she didn't get to enjoy as a little kid.

This is Shyla's first time spending the holidays in her first ever apartment that she got all by herself. She wants to start the tradition of a getting a holiday onesie every year and ultimately collecting them to hold memories for the year she acquired each one.
