A sewing machine for Brittany who makes her own clothes!

Posted Dec 20, 2021
Brittany is an incredibly brilliant young scholar who has just started her first year of doctoral studies in school psychology! As a former foster youth, Brittany is part of a far-too-small group, but she is determined to help other youth like her make it to this level of higher education. Graduate school is tough and finances are very lean, but Brittany is both frugal and creative. She is a whiz with a sewing needle and converts most of her clothes from thrift shop threads to glamorous garbs. She has been wishing long and hard for this spectacular sewing machine and is grateful that you are considering her very special wish!

Brittany is 31 years old and lives in CA

"Dear Wish Granter, Thank you so much for your kindness in giving me this sewing machine. To be honest, I didn't believe it had a chance of being granted this wish, but it means so much to me. New clothes haven't been an option and I'm always trying to find ways to get clothes I've thrifted to look better and actually fit me, which is hard to do by hand! Even still ,I LOVE sewing and creating. I'm so grateful for you and this gift; it's going to make my life a 1000x easier. Here is a picture of me in a dress that I made! Thank you!"
