Having grown up in foster care, Irene chose to use her experience and talents to give back to foster youth. Irene is currently advocating for bills to be passed to change the California foster system. With her advocacy, Bill AB1512 was passed which allows survivor benefits to pass to foster youth instead of being taken unethically by counties. In addition, Irene creates wellness and gratitude journals that help foster youth with their personal development. She is working on creating a digital wellness course that helps foster youth learn how to journal.

Irene is super passionate about cooking up tasty meals and fantastic desserts whenever she has the chance. Ice cream is her favorite treat, and while she enjoys buying it, she dreams of making her own at home! This amazing ice cream machine would be perfect for her, letting her create delicious flavors for herself and her loved ones. She would be so thrilled to get this!
