NM CYFD - Bernalillo CountyAnthony is the oldest of six children, and has always played the father figure to his siblings since they entered the foster care system at a very young age. He has not had the opportunity to focus on himself and his personal goals. Recently, Anthony enrolled into a GED program and began the journey of becoming a licensed foster parent so that he can be the legal guardian of his siblings. He will always go the extra mile for his family.
Anthony is currently providing for his three younger siblings as a foster parent, and hopefully will become their legal guardian soon! Basketball has always kept the brothers together, even when they were all in different foster homes. Anthony is hopeful that having a basketball hoop at their home will bring them closer and give them an opportunity to be kids and enjoy their adolescence. This will also be an awesome birthday gift for Anthony!
