Shakiya has already been accepted to two colleges, and has already committed to one of them. She is so excited to start collecting the things she knows she will need at school. Shakiya enjoys making home made meals for herself and would love an air fryer.

Shakiya has been in foster care for just a short while, and loves basketball! She is on her school's girls' basketball team. She is very studious, and knows she has to be to be able to play basketball. She would like to go on to college, but hasn't decided where. She is interested in getting a basketball scholarship to help her through college. Shakiya is friendly and kind, but tends to want to stay out of the drama that she feels others find themselves in. She likes to keep her room neater vs. cluttered, claiming herself a "neat freak".
