A Special Birthday Surprise for Uyi who is thrilled he is in his own space

This year has started off with a bang for Uyi. After two years of waiting, Uyi has FINALLY moved into his very first apartment. This move means a lot to Uyi, and while there is no gift better than the gift of housing, it would so be nice to give Uyi a birthday gift. Uyi is so deserving of a very nice house warming surprise this year, and his case management team would love to give Uyi an opportunity to purchase some meaningful decorative items to help make his new space feel like home.
Uyi is 25 years old and lives in NY
Uyi left foster care around 2014/15, being discharged to family via a kinship placement. Unfortunately, this did not go well and by 2017 Uyi was residing in a homeless shelter. He remained there for about a year before moving to Binghamton to attend college. Uyi is not currently still in school due to his lack of a strong support system, but was linked to our agency in the hopes of locating housing back in NYC where our nonprofit, and others, can better assist him on his path to success.
