A Laptop for Alyson who is excelling in high school

Alyson would love to have her own laptop as a senior in high school. She works so hard in her classes, and she is really excelling. She has also been accepted as a member of the DCF Youth Council, and she would like to continue to expand her networks. By having her own laptop, she will be able to complete her assignments on time, log into the monthly virtual meetings for the youth council, and continue with her college admissions process. This laptop will be a lifeline for Alyson to have a successful senior year and future.
Alyson is 20 years old and lives in NJ
Alyson has spent the majority of her life in foster care. Despite the instability that marked much of Alyson’s life, she has proven to be an incredibly resilient and motivated young woman with clear, precise goals for her future. Alyson is majoring in elementary education and minoring in sociology and is maintaining a nearly 4.0 GPA. Alyson is involved in various extra-curricular clubs and is making the most of her college experience. Alyson works part-time serving ice cream and just started substitute teaching, which she is very excited about. Alyson recently secured her own rental home through an adolescent housing voucher and is taking pride in establishing the residence to her liking.
