Melinda is an extraordinary young girl who has endured a lot this year. She has been placed in foster care from a different state and is currently residing with a non related family member. Melinda is happy to finally be with her current caregiver. She has been in two prior placements in the past year. She is very happy that she was finally able to relocate to a more permanent home. Melinda is excited and nervous to start all over and attend a new school in a different state and make new friends. Melinda enjoys listening to music. Melinda states that music has gotten her through many difficult times. Her favorite singer is Taylor Swift.

Melinda would like a writing desk and her own space to complete homework assignments and journaling. Melinda has started journaling during therapy and this desk will be perfect for her to journal at daily before bed. Melinda is very much enjoying having her own room and making it her own. She has never had her own room before and is looking forward to adding this desk in and making it feel like home.
