An Xbox with Controller for Steven who loves to play video games to relieve his stress

Posted Nov 16, 2022
Steven is in his final year of college, preparing for a graduate degree in Creative Writing. Steven uses writing to help process his experiences, but he also loves playing video games as a stress reliever. He writes, "I like to play video games in my down time because life is so stressful and it genuinely brings me happiness. As a former foster youth it is hard to find many things that bring me happiness and playing video games is one. I tend to ask for things that are more practical, rather than what I actually want, but this year I said why not and decided to ask for what I really want." Granting this wish will show Steven that people care enough to give him what he truly wants, and give him a great way to manage and relieve his stressors in life.

Steven is 25 years old and lives in CA

Steven is entering his third year at a University where he is earning his degree in creative writing. Steven has recently had his work shown in the UCR newsletters which he is very proud of. He has been working hard every quarter despite the obstacles he has experienced. Steven has a passion for expressing himself through his writing.

"Dear OSW I cannot believe that you were able to find someone to grant my wish. I knew it was a lot to ask and I was nervous cuz I never ask for special stuff.. always just stuff I need. This was such an awesome thing for someone to do, I really can't thank them enough. I have just finished my quarter. I am looking forward to being able to play games with my girlfriend on the break. Thank you for this awesome surprise. S."
