VA DSS - Roanoke CountyZachary is a sweet young man who is autistic and has experienced significant disruptions. He has moved many times before coming into foster care. Zachary enjoys spending time playing video games and with friends and family. Zachary loves cars of any type, but especially loves antique cars. Zachary says he wants to be an x-ray technician when he grows up.
Zachary has been in foster care for a month and will be celebrating his 18th birthday in a few weeks. Zachary loves the Xbox his case management team has been able to let him use, but it will need to be returned to the department once he turns 18. Zachary says video games really help him with his coping skills, and he finds playing video games relaxing. Zachary's case worker would love to surprise him with a new Xbox of his very own for his 18th birthday. 18 is such a big birthday, and to have his own Xbox will make that transition just a little bit easier for Zachary.
