Maria is an incredibly caring young woman who is currently experiencing placement in different foster homes and is having a hard time finding stability. With that being said, she is determined to focus on her goals of independence, reconnecting with her biological family, and also enjoying her adolescence!

Maria often sees her classmates wearing Air Force 1s and wishes she had her own pair to show off. Maria is a young woman who has taken affinity for makeup and fashion, however, due to not having a stable permanent home, she is unable to purchase these shoes for herself. She would benefit from these shoes for several reasons, 1. Being a young person like everyone else and not being labeled as the "foster youth" in school, 2. She's made great progress in her behaviors and this gift would be a positive reinforcement for the holidays, and 3. She is able to use these classic shoes to continue expressing her love for fashion.
