Kelis is a resilient teenage girl that was placed in our program just before Thanksgiving. Kelis made the hard decision to ask to live away from her family because she realized the environment was not healthy for her. Kelis has had a hard childhood and suffers from a traumatic brain injury. Kelis is able to keep her head up and look forward to the future. Kelis cares and worries very much for her siblings. She wants to go to college one day to be a doctor or a social worker because she wants to be able to help children.
