A Trip to Target for Kelis who is saving up for a new pair of nice Headphones

Kelis is asking for a gift card to Target because she wants to save up for a pair of beats headphones this Christmas. She loves to listen to music - it is one of her coping skills when she is feeling depressed or angry. Kelis spends a lot of time by herself because she has a hard time making friends, and spends a lot of this time listening to music.
Kelis is 22 years old and lives in NJ
Kelis is a resilient teenage girl that was placed in our program just before Thanksgiving. Kelis made the hard decision to ask to live away from her family because she realized the environment was not healthy for her. Kelis has had a hard childhood and suffers from a traumatic brain injury. Kelis is able to keep her head up and look forward to the future. Kelis cares and worries very much for her siblings. She wants to go to college one day to be a doctor or a social worker because she wants to be able to help children.
