Mikey, adopted as a baby, was returned to state custody when his grandmother was unable to care for him. He has Type 1 Diabetes and tried to manage his medical needs on his own while also caring for his grandmother. He is an "old soul," self-reliant and easy going. He likes to play basketball and watch Marvel movies. Mikey has been residing in a group home and hopes to move in with a friend's family within the next month. He has had a few extended visits in the family's home, stays in close phone contact and very much wants to be part of a family with a mom, a dad, brothers and a sister. This family is committed to providing Mikey with a safe and stable home and ensure he has stability, unconditional love and permanency.
